If you’re not familiar with the Baltimore scene, Artscape is a annual art festival put on by MICA that is pretty much the biggest even in the entire city. I believe last year there were over a million visitors, which is pretty enormous.
Last year a DIY section was added to the repertoire, and I was pleased to see that it has grown even more this year! Charm City Craft Mafia and Baltimore Etsy Street Team were both represented, which included some of my favorite local vendors, as well as far-away ones, like Basho – who traveled all the way from Ohio to bless us with their apparel wonders.
The day came to a close with an overcrowded performance by CAKE, whose new music is really quite nice (unlike our neighbors in the crowd). Altogether it was an exciting and sunburnt day, which made A/C and a puppy even the nicer when we returned.
